German tuning house BRABUS and all-time favourite micro electric car smart fortwo EV joined forces. The smart BRABUS fortwo electric drive promises better performance and bolder looks from the standard fortwo EV.
The tuned smart car proves that being environmentally friendly doesn’t come at the expense of driving fun or good looks. All in black with green highlights, the smart BRABUS looks like a dynamic daredevil. The green tridion safety cell and door mirror caps remind of its zero local CO2 emissions. The car also features 16/17 inch alloy wheels that add to its sporty appearance.
The smart BRABUS features an electric motor that is based on the state-of-the-art technology of the smart fortwo electric drive with an output of 60 kW. It has 80 horsepower and delivers a maximum torque of 135 Nm allowing it to be almost always the fastest to pull away at traffic lights.
The new BRABUS sports suspension contributes to the driving fun and gives you a feeling of flying over the roads. To remind you that you’re still sitting in car, the electric smart fortwo features a sound to match that is generated by a sound module – because although you’re environmentally friendly by driving an all-electric vehicle, you don’t want to miss out on a loud roaring engine noise.
The two-seater is equipped with a BRABUS sports steering wheel including steering wheel gearshift. The recuperation can be regulated with shift paddles. And to ensure minimum interruptions to the driving fun a quick charging function will be available as an option.
The exterior sporty looks are complimented by interior accent trim parts and components in green. Many BRABUS Xclusive components such as the instrument panel and interior door trim in leather convey a subtle dynamic.
The smart BRABUS electric drive will be available 12 countries from the end of this year.
Alongside the new car deals, smart also launched the trendy and environmentally friendly smart ebike in collaboration with BRABUS. The two-wheeler promises style, power and exclusiveness. The matt black frame and fork give the bike a dynamic look. Other components such as pedals and brake callipers come in green.
The electric motor on the BRABUS model is with 500 watts twice as powerful as the motor on the smart ebike. The weight of the ebike has been reduced by more than ten percent making it ready for sporty performance. The two-wheeler can reach maximum speed of 45 km/h.
The smart BRABUS ebike is already available for order in 16 European countries and in Canada.
