For most of us the choice of exterior and interior colour is about the only way we personalise our cars. This is a bit odd given that fashion and style choices pervade almost all of our other accessory choices – just think about all the different designs of watch you can buy, mobile phone covers, hair styles and clothes. However, there has always been a small subset of motorists (usually young and male!) who have performed some fairly extreme modifications on their cars to produce some eye-popping unique looks. For most people the time, cost and skill involved in these projects makes them impossible to replicate. Obviously most people don’t want a look that is so ‘individual’ anyway! If all this is too much for you – you can still consider some simpler personalisations. Hub cap covers, gear stick caps, steering wheels, car seats, cushions, mats and stickers (including eye lashes!) can all be bought cheaply and fitted by a novice. So don’t be boring, go for it!
